~ Gold & Silver in Five Easy Lessons ~

1. Don’t buy it because you need to make money; buy it because you need to protect the money you already have.

2. Don’t look at price as a barrier; look at it as an incentive.

3. Don’t buy its paper pretenders; buy the real thing in the form of coins and bullion.

4. Don’t fall prey to glitzy TV ads; do your due diligence instead.

5. Don’t allow naysayers to divert your interest; allow yourself the right to protect your interests as you see fit.

Bullion gold coins will always have value to your fellow Americans, while paper dollars have less and less. As the dollar declines, the price of gold and silver will continue to rise, reflecting the stable purchasing power of the precious metals. What’s more, in a volatile environment, bullion will carry a premium for being reliable and widely accepted money – just as the US dollar does now.

Bullion coins are easy to sell anywhere in the world. And even better, you can barter them locally for the stuff you need – food, clothes, a roof over your head – even if the other guy isn’t a coin enthusiast. In other words, bullion is money.

One of the characteristics that makes gold and silver money is their uniformity – meaning each coin is the same as every other coin of the same weight.

Gold has been prized throughout history for its high value-to-weight, making it easy to conceal and trade under tough political conditions. Consider: you could store enough gold to care for a small family for six months (approx. 9 ounces) on the inside of a belt buckle.

Gold is a commodity. Bullion coins are pre-measured units of this commodity, stamped with a design as a quick signal of authenticity. Gold is also history’s most reliable form of money, which makes it a good commodity to own when the world’s paper money system is in upheaval.

Let’s take a look at several options…

1 oz South African Gold Krugerrand Coin (Random Year)

South Africa has long been a hotbed of precious metal and gemstone mining. The country is home to some of the largest gold reserves found in the world, and it is no surprise that the nation was the first to issue a commemorative gold bullion coin as a national marketing tool. Today we offer the 1 oz South African Gold Krugerrand with various years of issue.

Coin Highlights:

* Ships to you in protective plastic flips, or in tubes of 10!
* First introduced in 1967.
* Designed by Otto Schultz and Coert Steynberg.
* Honors Boer statesman Paul Kruger.
* Contains 1 oz of 22-karat gold (.9167).
* Ships to you in protective plastic flips, or in tubes of 10!
* One of the most popular bullion coins in history.

The South African Gold Krugerrand was introduced in 1967 as the official bullion coin of South Africa, and became the first commemorative gold bullion coin on the market as a vehicle for private gold ownership. The coin was uncontested in the market for more than 12 years, with the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf offering the first challenge.

South African Gold Krugerrand coins were the first bullion coins issued legal tender status, but they do not bear a face value engraving on them. The obverse image of Paul Kruger, the four-term President of the South African Republic, was created for this coin in 1967.

The reverse image of the springbok, a native antelope species and national symbol of South Africa, was created by Coert Steynberg. This image had previously appeared on the reverse side of South African five shilling coins. Inscriptions on both sides of the coin are featured in the local Afrikaans dialect and English.

ROLLS of 20, 1 ounce Buffalo Silver Rounds

One of America’s greatest classic coin designs is the Buffalo Nickel. Sometimes referred to in its day as the Indian Head Nickel, this design from James Earle Fraser was used on the nation’s 5-cent piece from 1913 to 1938, and today it is replicated on countless products ranging from the US Mint’s American Gold Buffalo bullion coin to silver rounds.

Round Highlights:

* Arrives in individual plastic flips!
* Replica design of the famous Buffalo Nickel!
* Contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver.
* Obverse includes the image of the Native American tribal member in right-profile relief.
* Reverse features the depiction of the American bison in left-profile relief.

Each 1 oz SilverTowne Buffalo Silver Round is available to you here today in new condition courtesy of SilverTowne. These rounds ship in protective plastic flips for individual purchases or plastic tubes for multiples of 20 rounds. The 1 oz SilverTowne Buffalo Round in this listing does not feature a year of issue as some other SilverTowne Buffalo Rounds do.

The Buffalo Nickel debuted from the United States Mint in 1913. It was designed by James Earle Fraser during the administration of William H. Taft, and Fraser brought his life’s experience growing up on the plains of Minnesota and the Dakotas to bear in the design. A native of Winona, Minnesota, Fraser traveled extensively throughout the region in the late 19th century with his father, encountering the American bison and interacting with Native American tribes.

On the obverse of the 1 oz SilverTowne Buffalo Silver Round is the right-profile portrait of a Native American. In the upper-right portion of the design field’s edge is an engraving of “Liberty.” Fraser would not say for decades who the inspiration was for this Native American design, eventually admitting that he combined the facial and physical features of three individuals to create the image.

The reverse of all Buffalo Silver Rounds include the left-profile of an American bison standing on an outcrop patch of dirt. His original bison design was based upon Black Diamond, a resident of New York City’s Central Park Zoo in the early 20th century. Engravings on this side also remain similar to the Buffalo Nickel, with “United States of America” and “E Pluribus Unum” above the bison.

About admin

Please allow me to introduce myself; I am Jeffrey Bennett, President of Kettle Moraine, Ltd., the parent of Sierra Madre Precious Metals. I have been married for 53 years with two children and four grand-children, a veteran of Viet Nam, student of history (both American and film), and was host for fifteen years of Perspectives on America on the alternative airwaves, covering such subjects as, health and wellness, news, political satire, education and editorial commentary on current events through the teaching of history, and Protecting Your Wealth. In early 2018, I took a several month hiatus to complete some family business but returned to airwaves April 17, 2018). At the age of ten, I sat in a bank-vault in the Citizens Bank of Mukwanago, Wisconsin with my grandfather going through bags of old American Peace dollars, hand-selecting each coin as dated rolls of 20 coins were carefully put together and rolled. Learning of the history of these beautiful pieces of Americana, I asked my grand-father, "Why are we doing this?" to which he replied, "Because someday they are going to do the same thing with the silver in our money that, that (S.O.B.) Roosevelt did with gold in 1933." It took only six-years for his prediction to come to pass at the hands of a disciple of Roosevelt's... and what will a Federal Reserve 'dollar' purchase today - and what will that old 90% Silver Peace Dollar purchase? Although at the age of ten, there was little understanding of the meaning of it all, over the next half-century I became well-versed on the subject matter. During this summer of my education, I began to purchase silver coins as a collector and some small, international gold coins two years later - not an easy feat in the shadow of the Roosevelt confiscatory policies of 1933. Although those policies remained in effect until the mid-1970's, it was not until 1991 that I found that one could make a living providing precious metals and collectible, historic numismatic coins to a willing and concerned clientele. It was also during that year, that I began a relationship with one of the first Trust companies to give the public access to gold and silver as part of an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) - and Kettle Moraine, Ltd., founded in 1995, but have ceased providing service due the the intense change-over of the provider. In November 2011, after a 15 month broadcast on another network, I returned to the airwaves with my then revamped program, Life, Liberty & All That Jazz, and for over 28 years, I have been proud to serve the family of listeners of my numerous broadcast programs for physically-held precious metals for investors and collectors alike. On March 23, 2020 I launched my brand new - appropriately named program, The Edge of Darkness on the Republic Broadcasting Network, and thus continue to  remain available to our long time clients and their families. Ah yes - find out what "inter-generational" wealth provision has done for our clients over the past three decades. Don't buy the sizzle of that steak until you understand the cost! In other words, don't buy the bull being dispensed by the 'rare coin' pitchmen until you understand the full story. We, at Sierra Madre Precious Metals, will be proud to serve your needs.
